Learning about your ancestors can be a truly rewarding experience, but sometimes it can be frustrating. Whether you need help in finding that elusive ancestor or a quick record search, I can help.
Whatever your objective, I am happy to help. I can trace one line of your ancestry or multiple ones; direct ancestors or entire families. The choice is yours. But please note, while I cannot promise positive results, I can guarantee that I will search diligently and that all of the information provided will be accurate and thoroughly documented.
The following services are available:

Census: Census records for Ontario include 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911. Information may include full names, ages, birthplace, religion and occupation of adults. Price: $40 per township or city ward. Civil Registration: These include records of registrations births (1869-1912); marriages (1869-1927) and deaths (1869-1937) in Ontario. (If they were registered) Price: $25 for a two year search before and after the event. Newspapers: Birth, marriage and death notices. Price: $15 providing you know the year, $25 for a two year search. Gravestone photography: With the destruction and deteriorating of gravestones, a permanent copy is a treasure. I will locate the gravestone and photograph it for you. Price: $20 per hour. Minimum of 1 hour. Wills & Estate Files: Records are available from 1791-1900 for all of Ontario. Price $20 per county. Each additional county $10. |

In some cases, paying by the hour may be a more suitable option. I charge $25 per hour plus expenses such as photocopying, postage and in some cases mileage.

Experience
I have been researching my own family history for over 15 years. I am a member and an active volunteer of the Ontario Genealogical Society, Hamilton Branch. I am currently enrolled in the Advanced Level of Canadian Records at the National Institute for Genealogical Studies through the University of Toronto.
