VISTA   Patch   Instructions

The manual procedures outlined here are automated for previous versions of Windows:

• Insert CD into CD drive and install HALSCRIB
• Click IGNORE when ICON "error" occurs at end of SETUP
• Use Windows Explorer to confirm locations of HALSWARE.FON and RICHED32.DLL on CD
  • If not present in base folder of CD email halscrib@yahoo.com and request OEMRICHED.ZIP
  • When received, unzip both into the HALSCRIB folder (default is C:\Program Files\CRIBBAGE\HALSCRIB)
• Install HALSWARE OEM Font
• Left-click slider at right of window to reveal more files at step 6
• Verify RICHED32.DLL exists in HALSCRIB subfolder
• Follow RED steps 1-6
• RICHED32.DLL should be in same folder as HALSCRIB Application
• Change DPI setting to 96 PDI (Dots Per Inch) if not already set
• Follow RED steps 1-6
• Follow BLUE steps 1-6
• Create HALSCRIB desktop icon
• Follow RED steps 1-6, new RED 7
• Follow GREEN steps 1-5
• Shut-down or Restart computer
• Launch HALSCRIB (GREEN STEP 6) ONLY AFTER SHUT-DOWN or REBOOT and above procedures completed!
• Obtain WINHELP.EXE and store in WINDOWS folder to access HALSCRIB HELP file contents
