Also nearby is Our Lady of Grace Monastery. Originally a Trappist retreat, it was established in 1825 by French monks. The Augustinian Order took possession in 1938 when they came to Canada to escape Nazi persecution. In 2000 it was purchased by the monks of St. Maron.

The chapel boasts stained glass windows, marble alters, mosaic tile work and fine paintings by a New York artist.
A short path nearby will take you past the Stations of the Cross to Our Lady of Grace Shrine.

If you want to relax near the ocean there is a beach 2 km. away and a water front picnic park within walking distance where you can watch the sunset.

Less than 20 minutes away there are giftshops, additional restaurants, a daily quilt market and entertainment.

The Granville Green concert series is held every Sunday night and features free outdoor performances by East Coast musicians and local talent. The Rankin Family, The Barra MacNeils, Leahy and Kim Stockwood are just a few of the artists who have given unforgetable performances in past years.
