And it starts in the classroom.
Ontario's kids deserve the highest quality education, no matter where in the province they live. A quality education that includes clean, safe schools, the best teachers and a stable learning environment.
Audits of the Ottawa, Hamilton and Toronto District School Boards have revealed that trustee inaction and indecision have led to deficits and to spending that does little for kids in the classroom.
That's why Ontario has appointed a Supervisor for each of these school boards to eliminate financial mismanagement while running the boards within provincial standards. These Supervisors will help ensure that classroom funding will be spent in the classroom, safeguarding the quality of our children's education and promoting a stable learning environment.
Children, their parents and their teachers deserve no less.
