Bean Park Spey Clave
(with a Scandinavian flavour)

Join us on the banks of the Grand River

We will be hosting a Spey Clave in Southern Ontario, for Great Lakes fly fishers.

And no admission fees!

We will have tackle of all types on display, including Guideline, G. Loomis, Sage, CND, Hardy, Greys,  and others.

During the clave, we will be running workshops on fishing Scandinavian Shooting Heads for Great Lakes migratory salmonids.  Included will be information on tuning shooting heads for your rod(s), how to manage shooting heads while on the water, fishing full sinking shooting heads, and how to choose the right shooting head system.  There will be shooting heads available for you to test drive on your rod(s).

We plan to have Underhand Casting demonstrations for those interested in the technique.  There will also be opportunities for those interested in Skagit or Scottish Traditional methods to try out new gear and exercise their casting skills.  While we will have a Scandinavian emphasis, the clave is by no means limited to this method.  Like all claves, it’s about meeting people, trying gear, and learning stuff.

Hope to see you there.

Peter Charles
