Materials:
- cotton balls
- white glue
- Bristol board
- paints
In a bowl, mix approximately one cup of
white glue with an equal quantity of water. Draw a simple design
on the Bristol board. Dip cotton balls in the glue mixture and
wring out excess glue. Apply the wet cotton to the Bristol board,
following the outline of the design. Also use the cotton balls
to create textured areas within the picture. Wash bowl and work
surfaces immediately.

Allow the cotton to dry overnight. The
raised designs will become rock-hard. Use paints and glitter to
make your 3-D picture colourful.
This technique also makes a great picture
frame, if you create a rectangular design and cut out an area
to display a photo once the paint is dry.
