Links
Each month, the Rose Garden will recommend
four world wide web links.
These links are categorized as follows:
- Link of the month
- Hamilton Ontario link
- Children's link
- World Issue link
All the hype, all the time! Get production
updates, learn about cast & crew members, look at photo albums
and order merchandise. See a web video documentary on the making
of Episode II. Naturally the site links back to the Star Wars
Home Page with tons of facts and photos from Episode I and also
the first three (or should I say later three) films.

This site includes a complete description
of every public park in Hamilton. The list contains the location,
size and history of each park site and outlines the facilities
offered. Of special interest are the pages on Dundurn, Gage and
Gore Parks which include a wealth of historical and anecdotal
information. It's easy to differentiate between the newer parks
which are characterized by ball diamonds and plastic play structures
and the older parks mentioned above. The site also includes a
general history of public parks in Canada and the current parks'
by-laws for Hamilton.

Fun facts and activities for kids, including
games, colouring sheets and even karaoke. Favourite children's
television shows such as Arthur, Wishbone and Teletubbies have
their own pages and activities. The site is divided into separate
sections for pre-school and school age children.

This site outlines the status of native
animal and plant species in Canada. Endangered, extinct, threatened
or vulnerable animals and plants are listed by category (mammal,
bird, reptile, amphibian, fish, mollusk, lepidopteran (butterfly
& moth), vascular plant, moss & lichen.
The site, compiled by the Committee on
the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC) is a sobering
look at the over 300 Canadian species currently at risk from human
competition.
