Flower
Cards
Materials:
- flowers, leaves, grasses
- coloured card or stiff paper
- transparent shelf paper
Instructions:
Four to six weeks before starting this
craft, press an assortment of flowers, leaves and grasses underneath
several heavy books. Use clean white paper to protect the books
from any sap.
When the pressed flowers are ready, cut
a piece of shelf paper slightly larger than your piece of coloured
card. Arrange the flowers face down on the sticky side of the
shelf paper. Set the card on top of the flowers and smooth out
any air bubbles.
This technique can also be used to make
attractive place mats or bookmarks.
